Mykolaiv

Diana is a law student at Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University since 2023. She serves as the External Relations Manager of the Mykolaiv branch of the League of Students of the Ukrainian Bar Association. Diana is actively involved in anti-corruption projects and participates in events such as the Anti-Corruption Quest and the Street Law Fest 2024. In 2025, she became a participant of the Leadership Program upon recommendation from her university mentor.
Freedom, to her, is the right to choose — independent of others’ opinions. It is the ability to follow one’s own path, guided by inner conviction rather than external expectations.

Yeva has been an activist with USF since 2025.

Mykolaiv is an important part of her civic engagement — it is where she was born and raised.
In 2023 she became involved in the development of her hometown, the city on the wave, navigating a storm of change. This experience transformed everything: feelings of hatred gave way to deep love and admiration for Mykolaiv.
She is a volunteer with the NGO "Every Animal" and the memorial project honoring Kostia Yuzviuk "Istanbul".

She is also just a human being — someone who lives with severe depression, who loves photography, and is deeply engaged in volunteering.

«I first encountered USF in the autumn of 2023, when I supported a boycott campaign against products that continue to cooperate with moscow.

Since then, I have seen that USF is a large community united by shared values. These are people who can organize a protest in a single evening, who refuse to tolerate oppression in any form, and who come from every corner of a united Ukraine, who continue to defend these values — both on the home front and on the battlefield.

Anna is an activist of the USF. She grew up in the Pervomaisk city, Mykolaiv region. There she graduated from school and entered the Pervomaisk College of Admiral Makarov National Shipbuilding University, where she is still studying law. She joined the organization in the summer of 2023, after the leadership program.

Denis is an activist of USF. He was born in Sevastopol but spent most of his life in Mykolaiv, where he completed his schooling. His interest in history and politics grew significantly from the 9th grade, shaping his future path. Cenis is studying International Relations at Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University. At the onset of the full-scale invasion, Denis became a volunteer and joined efforts in assisting the wounded in the hospital the next day. He and his team also established a municipal guard that defended the city at night against looters, vandals, and adversaries. Following their municipal guard duties, Denis and his friend helped establish the SpivDiya humanitarian center in Mykolaiv. This center provided significant aid to the citizens of Mykolaiv with food and supplies, operating for several months before being closed down. In February 2023, they were already involved in a new project, setting up the Goncharenko Center, where they offered free educational services. Today, Denis is an active member of USF, assisting with fundraising in the volunteer organization «Second Front».

An ordinary schoolgirl who accidentally came across a video of the USF in social networks, and now cannot imagine her life without this organization. Kateryna lives in a small town in the Mykolaiv region, studies in the 11th grade. Joined the organization in 2023. She believes in the power of free people and their ability to change the country so that all of us can finally experience true freedom.

'USF is about really brave people... About people who inspire and motivate. About people who have a raging fire and an incredible drive for change. We ignite new hearts with our fire. Everyone is capable of transforming our society and country. Courage is not to be afraid and to act, despite all adversity; do not keep silent about really important topics; to stand up for the idea of ​​true freedom. We are all united by the desire for real independence and the struggle for the right to be free.'

Hanna is a university student. She grew up in the city of Mykolaiv, where she graduated from school. He is currently in his third year at the National Shipbuilding University, named after Admiral Makarov, majoring in aviation and rocket-space engineering. In 2023, she joined the USF.

'For me, freedom is what I live. This is the air that I breathe and without which I will die. For me, freedom is not only physical but also spiritual. Ability to move freely and express your thoughts freely. So I joined the USF community.'

Sofia is a USF activist. She grew up in the picturesque village of Novodanilivka in Mykolaivshyn. In 2020, she graduated from school and entered the university at the department of English translation. Versatile personality and open to new experiences. Since 2022, a USF activist.

Anastasiia was born in Kherson, but all her life she spent in beautiful and small town Nova Kakhovka. In 2020 finished Economical Lyceum, and she took a part at Ukrainian Leadership Academy. From 2021 started to study at Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra (Slovens'ka respublika).
