He works as a lawyer specializing in civil and administrative law.

«Freedom, to me, is the ability to be the master of my own life — to make decisions independently and to act — or, conversely, to choose not to act.
It is the opportunity to live according to my own interests and values.
And, of course, it is the responsibility for the choices you make and the actions you take.
And UCF — it’s about people.
People with whom, and for whom, you want to create»

Kateryna is from Novovolynsk, Volyn. She studied at a scientific lyceum, where her main activity was cramming chemistry and doing a bit of directing in a theater club she founded herself. In 2023, she became a supporter of the USF, and in 2025 she joined the Leadership Program, receiving a promotion to activist. That same year, she began studing at the Ukrainian Catholic University in the IT and Decision Analytics program — and still doing so.

«“Freedom, to me, is the right to choose — to decide how to live, what to own, and who to become; to take full responsibility for my choices and their consequences, because only in ownership of my life and actions can I truly live it to the fullest.”»

Taras believes that every individual is a separate universe worthy of maximum expression. This philosophy, closely intertwined with libertarian ideas, has become his guiding principle in public activities and leadership among student self-governments in Lviv and volunteering. He is already actively promoting his principles, preparing to start his studies in the United States to gain global experience and bring it back to build a free Ukraine.

«Every person is a masterpiece. And USF is a platform for free expression. Here, you are valued precisely for what makes you different from others. These are people who are ready to work together to achieve the most ambitious goals. Here, you are not just part of a whole, you are an indispensable element whose uniqueness is the key to the success of the entire movement.»

Diana is a functionary of USF.
She was born in the city of Melitopol and studied at School 1. After the 9th grade, she entered a medical college. With the beginning of the full-scale invasion, she was forced to move to the Czech Republic, where she spent two years and continued her studies. In 2024, she made the decision to return to Ukraine — with an inner need to be part of its development.
She now lives in Lviv and studies in the specialty “Cultural Studies.” She learned about USF through social media and then decided that she would definitely join the organization.

«Freedom is not only the right to choose, but also the readiness to act, take responsibility, and build here, at home. I don’t want to search for a better world elsewhere -I want to create it in Ukraine through education, culture, and active civic engagement.»

Hi!
This is Sofia, a native Lvivian who has lived in her hometown her entire life and would probably never want to leave. She is currently studying Social Work at the Ukrainian Catholic University. She has a completed education from the "Nadiya" Lyceum and some unfinished studies in music and art schools. Because of this, she can discuss some cultural topics, but not in great depth. She became a member of the USF in 2025.

«Freedom is not a field without boundaries, but the ability to walk a chosen path among countless others. It is born in an inner void, where two shores meet: "freedom from" and "freedom for." To be free is not merely to cast off chains, but to find within oneself the strength to bear one's cross—the burden of responsibility for every step. It is the resilience of a thought that does not bend under the weight of others' ideas, and the courage to stand alone in one's truth.»

Sofia is from the Ternopil region but has always dreamed of living in Lviv — and now she studies here at Lviv National University, Faculty of International Relations, majoring in International Law. She first heard about the opportunity to join the community of Ukrainian Students for Liberty at an event held in the main university building, and in 2025 she had the chance to become part of the Lviv community, as the values of freedom and self-improvement are very close to her. It’s worth adding that Sofia finds inspiration in everything she does and is truly a creative person.

«For me, freedom is the right to be myself — to express my thoughts openly without fear of judgment or pressure. It’s the ability not to go with the flow, but to choose my own path, even when it’s difficult. It’s the need to be heard, to bring ideas to life, to create, to change, and to help others. Sometimes it means taking certain risks to achieve a goal, so freedom is, above all, responsibility. It’s not only the right to choose but also the willingness to act when others stay silent. Freedom is the opportunity to doubt, to seek the truth, and to stay true to one’s values. It’s the people who inspire you, those you can create something real with — an environment where everyone has a voice.»

«I have been concerned about the issue of freedom in my country since childhood. I see that even after so many years of independence, there are still numerous problems that must be solved by the younger generation. That is why I chose the path of international relations — to be able to build a better future for my country. My goal is not to wait for change but to create it myself».
