Khrystyna is an activist of the Ukrainian Students for Freedom. She was born and raised among the picturesque forests of Volyn, in the best place in the world – the city of Lutsk. Like any creative child, during her studies at school she managed to try all possible sections, but in the end she found herself in visual arts – in this area she planned to develop.
Being uninterested in activism or any other manifestation of public activity (and in general “art outside politics”, if anyone has forgotten), she lived her carefree teenage life right up until the moment she woke up from the explosions on the morning of February 24, 2022. This day made her change her outlook on life and values a little.
Since then, she began to look for answers to two very existential questions: the first (quoting a classic) – “Who am I?”, and the second – “What can I do useful for my country?”.
She found the answer herself when, in 2023, Khrystyna entered the first year of Lutsk National Technical University, majoring in Graphic Design. There, having met a current USF functionary, she first became a supporter of the organization, and a year later she fully joined the community as an activist.
Currently, she is part of the Lutsk cell’s communications team, and one of the designers of the Free Generation Forum 2025.

«Freedom is what makes me who I am, and without it, I wouldn’t have made any of the choices that shaped me as a person.»

Anastasiia is an activist of the Ukrainian Students for Freedom. She comes from the picturesque region of Volyn. Having recently graduated from medical college, she decided to take a short break from studying to rest and carefully choose her future university.
Her journey in civic engagement began with volunteering at the Youth Center “City of Ideas” and participation in the college student council. Outside of her studies, she also gained experience in managing social media while working at an SMM agency. Currently, she continues to contribute to the development of the Youth Bank of Initiatives in her community.
Joined the Ukrainian Students for Freedom in 2025. She was inspired by the organization’s values and its powerful capacity to drive change across the country — something that deeply resonates with her own beliefs

«Any person strives to live a happy life, and to me, freedom is the main foundation for achieving this goal — and not only this one 😉»

Uliana was born and lived her entire life in Volyn, specifically in the city of Lutsk. Throughout her school years, she tried to pursue two activities simultaneously: scientific and social activism. She participated in academic competitions, wrote scientific papers on biology and related subjects, and even published articles in scientific journals on histology. At the same time, she organized school events, artistic and educational events. In high school, she even spent a year as president of the lyceum, representing Lutsk Lyceum No. 21 at the city and regional levels. However, she quickly decided to devote herself fully to civic activism. A year at FRI Lutsk introduced her to a lot of motivated young people and allowed her to organize her first events that were not dependent on the school or other local government bodies. And in 2024, together with volunteer hubs such as "Vilni Volyni", she participated in organizing charity events.
Around the same time, she began collaborating with “Generation in the Crosshairs” , a project that encourages concerned young people to talk about war abroad from a first-person perspective. She also helped create a documentary film for this organization.
This collaboration also prompted her to organize her first event that was not dependent on the activities of community organizations. With the support of caring people who helped restore the old Officers' House in three days, she coordinated the exhibition “Shadows of Stars,” dedicated to artists who were killed during the war.
A multitude of people she met and actions she took led her to a community of people whose values and opinions she shares. Ukrainian Students for Freedom became a new beginning for everything that has yet to be realized. Today, the USSF activist is not giving up her scientific activities — she is choosing a medical university that will help her combine her interest in science with practical application.
Uliana recommends taking a look at this page in a year or two, perhaps you will find something really interesting here.

«Sua cuique libertas
(Latin means “To each his own freedom.”)
This feeds my concept of freedom—it is unique to each individual».

Makar joined the USF in 2024. He was born in Zaporizhzhia and lived there until entering the university. His soul always felt the call of creativity, so from childhood he attended various clubs, participated in local events and all-Ukrainian competitions. He entered Lutsk NTU for the specialty "Graphic Design". With his own efforts and ambitions, he took first place in the rating list. He joined the student council of the faculty in the first year, in the life of which he participated. In the summer of 2024, he learned about the USF and decided to join the organization. The result is known)

The value of freedom began to develop in me after watching the film “Winter on Fire: Ukraine’s Fight for Freedom.” This became the point of no return.
When I joined to USF, I watched this film another time. Eventually I realized: “I’m here so that this doesn’t happen again.”

Khrystyna was born in the village near Lutsk, where she graduated from school. From childhood, feeling the desire for creative manifestation, she participated in creative and historical events. Interest in the culture and history of Ukraine has built one of its values - to spread and nurture its culture and statehood. Experience in independent projects increasingly turned her on the importance of spreading historical, political, and social problems through art. Participation in the school self-government team prompted her to be interested in civil and social processes. While studying at Lutsk National University, she learned about USF.

USF for me is about opportunities. Surrounding young people who share your desire to build, and improve our state makes the usual dreams actions that you did not know you could be capable of. You practice and do not dwell on the usual beautiful theory in your head.
Without freedom, my identity could not exist. History shows us that nothing is more destructive to individuality and human rights than the lack of will.

Ivanna was born and lives in the city of Lutsk. In 2023, she graduated from 11 grades and entered the Lutsk National Technical University with a degree in Graphic Design. She met the USS in 2023 at one of the events, where she also fundraised for loyalty program, and that's when her active student life began. In 2024, Ivanna fully joined the community, becoming an activist.

For me, freedom is the opportunity to realize your potential, to breathe deeply, to choose anything without judgment, the possibility of many attempts, the possibility of possibilities. This is what flows in our blood, unites us, makes us strong, free and happy. Freedom is individuality and uniqueness, it is creativity. This is what is worth fighting for.
I love the USS - it is not only about theory, but also practice and specific actions. This is a community where you can be whoever you want, realize yourself to the fullest and become a part of something big, a part of change, a community of conscious, purposeful, ambitious, free youth. In whose environment, you also want to share ideas, develop, learn, change our country and change yourself.

«Freedom is an individual's ability to choose for himself the most optimal, in his opinion, option of his behavior. In my opinion, a fair society in which the interests of all its members are taken into account is possible only when each individual clearly understands his values and interests, which is impossible without freedom. That is why I believe that freedom is a prerequisite for a healthy society».
