On Ukrainian Students for Freedom: «For me, the ideas of liberty are not some imaginary ideals, but the purpose of my work. USF focuses on two things: youth and freedom. Youth, because we believe that only people born and raised in an independent Ukraine can change it. Freedom, because, as human history shows, it is a universal cure for the poverty of any nation. I, as well as like-minded people from USF, do not want to seek happiness elsewhere, but I want to build it here and now. Freedom has always been the highest value for Ukrainians. Therefore, I am convinced that it will be the best instrument for our prosperity.»

‘The most important value for me is the freedom of a person – it is freedom that distinguishes a person from the whole visible world and gives us the right to be who we want to be. Of course, we are not completely perfect, but we are called to strive for it, and freedom is the guide that can help us in this. Freedom is the highest value, one worth fighting for every moment. It is a constant struggle — both with society and with oneself. A struggle against stigmas, stereotypes, others’ opinions, and one’s own doubts and fears. It is a path that requires effort to break free from submissive existence, to stop merely surviving within imposed conditions, and finally, to start truly living.
A free life means the ability to make unbiased decisions, take responsibility, pursue goals, and even make mistakes. For me, freedom is essential—something without which I cannot imagine my existence. It is worth everything and remains alive as long as we understand its value.

This marked the beginning of attending numerous training sessions, traveling across Ukrainian cities for various events, and creating his own projects and initiatives. All of this eventually led him to the wonderful organization Ukrainian Students for Freedom, where in 2024, after completing the leadership program, Kyrylo became a USF activist.
For me, freedom is like water for a fish—it feels complete in it: swimming, enjoying, competing, and doing whatever it desires. The absence of freedom is like that same fish thrown onto dry land. What can it do? Merely thrash its tail in convulsions, try to breathe air, but all in vain—it is doomed to die. For a person, freedom is that very same water. Without it, a person is inevitably doomed as well.
