I believe that freedom is not simply the opportunity to choose, but also the entitlement to act without apprehension, when I have the autonomy to chart my own course and accept the consequences of my decisions. However, true freedom also requires an awareness of the consequences of one’s decisions. Every choice, even the smallest one, has its own results, and I must be ready to accept them. This means that freedom is not only the absence of constraints but also the ability to take responsibility for what I do, knowing that my actions can affect me and others.
