Dmytro was born on June 20, 2008, in Poltava and has lived there all his 16 years. During his life, he has already managed to try himself and prove himself in various fields, starting from school… Since the first grade, he was incredibly interested in reading and math, which influenced his interests in the future. He studied well: he was an excellent student almost every year, and from the 6th grade he actively participated in everything he could. Because of this, he was able to become the youngest president of the school in its entire existence only in the 8th grade, so his life in public activities began quite early, but it was in the eighth grade that he was caught up in a full-scale invasion The ninth grade was the year of his achievements and accomplishments: from scientific papers to theater performances. Dmytro left school after the ninth grade, hoping to get an education at Poltava Polytechnic College (PPFC). He had always been interested in computers, so he chose to major in Computer Systems Development and Maintenance. At the college, another stage of his life began, a more adult and “student” stage. He temporarily stepped away from academics and became interested in history and politics. One day, he read a book that changed his outlook on life and made him become interested in social activism. It was then that he became acquainted with the USF. Soon enough, the ideas of Freedom captured Dmytro’s imagination, and he began attending events organized by USF in Poltava, and in August he was there: at the Leadership Program 2024. As an activist of the USF, Dmytro has already gained some experience: he organized meetings of the branch, participated in the project school, was a delegate in the USF presidential election, organized a lecture in Poltava, and was a candidate for the position of head of the Poltava branch. But this is only the beginning…

Freedom is the most precious gift of humanity. It is justice and progression for all. All our goods are based on Freedom, because you cannot have true happiness if you do not have Freedom.

USF is people united by one big idea of FREEDOM. For me, the idea of freedom is an inner feeling of peace and independence – when a person is free from his own fears, doubts and restrictions imposed by society.

Oleksandra is an ordinary girl from Poltava. She is studying to be a public administrator and a choreographer at the same time. Even she can’t understand how these two such different professions found a response in her heart. She takes up something new very easily, but at the same time gets scattered, trying to help everyone. From 2020 to 2021, she was the head of the student council of her university and also participated in the cultural exchange between Ukraine and Georgia. Indeed, she is never tired of volunteering and helping to organize events in her city. Despite everything, she remains a big and very naive child.

‘USF – this is a rather unexpected, but very thoughtful and important step for me. I realized that I want to work together with people whose eyes are shining with ideas, that I want to be useful and that I can definitely give something and get many times more in return. I always say that everyone has their own freedom, now I do not renounce these words, but I want to add that freedom is a choice, it is a struggle, it is hard work, it is a luxury. At USF everyone knows why they are here and that we are all our whole future.’

Sophie was born in Poltava, where she grew up and graduated from school. Later, she moved to Kharkiv, as soon as she became a student of the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University and started studying Law. There, in Kharkiv, life began to change itself. Values, thoughts and ideals began to reform and led her to the fact that in 2022 she became an activist of Ukrainian Students for Freedom. She has just begun her path to freedom, but her thirst for freedom drives her to develop in the right direction.

Freedom has always been something sacred for me, something that I must always defend and protect. So when I learned about USF from my closest friend, I immediately understood what I should be moving towards and where I should be. USF is not just people who profess the same ideas, it is something more – it is a family in which you are accepted by amazing people, it is friends who will help you at any second, it is a path that opens for you, as soon as you became an activist. USF is a new breath, a new generation of Ukraine, it is the future. I believe that each of us, who are interested in the development of society in a positive direction, will achieve their goals together with the great team of USF

Artem successfully reviewed the biographies of the USF participants and was impressed. Future participants may not survive that experience. So Artem made sure everyone survived and left his biography unchanged.

«I love people. I love people more than anything, even more than food (and I can call myself a foodie). USF is the catalyst that caused the biggest surge of that abstraction in my heart that is called love, because to meet so many people in one place is not an easy task.»

Back in school, I thought that after studying at university I would go abroad to work, but already at university, my point of view on this issue has changed. I realized that there are people like me who want to build a successful future in Ukraine.
