In 2020, she enrolled at DDMU while simultaneously working as a copywriter. Before the full-scale invasion, her life was filled with studying and creativity. After it began, her focus shifted to volunteering and learning. From the very first days of the invasion, she joined one of her university’s departments and helped organize first aid training sessions. Shortly after, she started setting up collective fundraising accounts, attending rallies for prisoners of war, and actively collaborating with foundations as an SMM specialist, manager, and copywriter.
An opportunity for growth, self-improvement, and finding an inspiring community.

That same year, he became a USF activist and began working on a project in Kryvyi Rih.
For me, the USF is a place where I can meet people who share my political views or have differing opinions to engage in meaningful discussions. It’s also a community of individuals with whom I can have a great time.
Before getting acquainted with the organization, I didn’t know much about libertarianism. However, after learning more about this concept, I realized that my views fully align with libertarian principles.
I have always consistently supported and will continue to support freedom, rights, and equality. It doesn’t matter how I personally define freedom because freedom itself is the ability to interpret it however one wishes. At the moment, Ukraine faces significant issues with rights and freedoms, and as a citizen who wants to live in a free country, I feel I have no choice but to directly influence the state. I aim to do so through civic organizations, activists, volunteers, and other initiatives.

Karyna. She was born in Dnipro. Karyna was changing two schools – on the right and left banks of the city. She is finishing his 4th year in the specialty «Journalism» at the Dnipro National University named after Oles Honchar. Began active public activity at the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation: educational activities in social networks and weaving camouflage nets for Ukrainian soldiers abroad, in 4 months – in Ukraine. At the end of 2023, she joined the public movement «Groshi na ZSU. Dnipro». At the same time she studied at the university and participated in an internship in the media. Thus, she became even more interested in the political situation in the Dnipro and Ukraine in general. Already in March 2024, she visited the forum of the Dnipro branch of the Ukrainian organization «Ukrainian Students for Freedom» — «Youth Wartime Forum». Thanks to this event and acquaintances with people who believed then in her forces with participation in the project «Programa Liderstva 2024» and who are her friends, she is an activist of Ukrainian Students for Freedom
Freedom is a value that you don’t want to leave at a level of books or purely on stories of people in circles – Ukrainians want to build it here and now together with the same consciousful people. This is a basis of our country: Ukrainians will end the war, and then restore and build free and truly independent Ukraine by freedom. Freedom has always been with Ukrainians, but only a part of them understood its importance, because there were such people, for example, in the times of the Soviet Union, who lived under an influence of the propaganda of that time: the Heroes of the Nation were called terrorists and extremists, and the real murderers were an example to follow, clinging to their busts and portraits in an offices of majority institutions. Karyna believes that a bright future of Ukraine lies with youth: if Ukrainian youth choose freedom and build reliable «walls» now, then their descendants will only have to remember, appreciate and fill this «home»
What Ukrainian Students for Freedom are doing strengthens my faith in a better future, in a country torn apart by factionalism and nepotism, war and violence, a principled group of young people boldly stands for freedom and the rule of law, for prosperity and free exchange, and limited state as the basis of voluntary and peaceful cooperation.
An active student! Since 2021, he has been engaged in social activities! A bit of an architect, more of an engineer 🙂

Something new, dynamic, creative, and significant within this freedom constantly emerges. All of this is done by individuals who are willing to take responsibility for their actions and the future. Or Ukrainian Students for Freedom is like a heart that fills life with possibilities and new discoveries, which then grow into something greater. Or Ukrainian Students for Freedom is like the most crucial chromosome, and the activists, functioners, and coordinators are powerful DNA molecules in which the Freedom gene is encoded. I am happy to be in such a vibrant and progressive surrounding people.’

For me, USF is a very unusual experience, since I happened to be accidentally given a questionnaire by my informatics teacher and I filled out the questionnaire. After completing these leadership program, courses, I realized that it is our ideologies of freedom that coincide and that this is the place where I can feel free and fight for my freedom not alone, but with someone. USF are those people with whom I would like to compete for the idea of freedom and well-being. And together with them to realize their ideas, and possibly projects.

USF are people, a large number of students who want Ukraine to be truly free. A big family that will always help and support. And this, in my opinion, is the most important.

I became interested in the ideas of freedom at school. I quickly realized that freedom is a universal value that can give Ukraine the opportunity to take its place among developed countries. But before that, we have a long and difficult way to build civilized democratic institutions, which can only be done by the young generation of Ukrainian leaders, who are burning with ideas of individual freedom and who have a strong desire to see their country strong and independent. Those are people that the USF unites. This organisation gives us a sense of community and the opportunity to act for the good of Ukraine, guided by the ideals of freedom.
